Ambika College of Education offers one-year full time B.Ed degree approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi, and Govt, of Punjab and affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala.offers a full-time, two-year PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) programme, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi. CGC has the autonomy to design, renew, and revise curriculum based on actual requirements of the corporate world thus making the students more employable. The curriculum for PGDM is designed on the pattern of the courses of top notch institutes of the country like IIMs. The students are trained for overall excellence to achieve the pinnacle of Ambika College of Educations in their fields of specialization.
GENERAL INFORMATION ON ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The College offers a one-year duration Bachelor of Education course that graduate students from all streams can take. The admission is done on the basis of merit followed by centralized counselling conducted for all four universities of Punjab i.e. Panjab University, Chandigarh; Punjabi University, Patiala ,Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar and Lovely Professional university, Jalandhar at a common venue.
The college has a total of 100 seats out of which 85% of the seats are reserved for students having Punjab domicile and 15% seats are for students outside Punjab. The management quota comprises of 15 % seats out of the 85% Punjab Quota. Therefore 26 seats are kept aside for the management to be filled according to their discretion and as per university norms. The reservation policy of Government of Punjab will be followed for filling the seats against various categories.
Note: No one who is already in employment shall be admitted to B.Ed. course without taking leave from the employer, from the date of commencement of academic session till the completion of session.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Candidates from universities other than Punjabi University are required to submit the following within 30 days of enrolment.
- Original Detailed Marks Cards (DMCs ) of graduation and last class passed ( post-graduation or any other degree)
- Migration Certificate (original)
Other documents to be submitted at the time of admission are as follows: Photocopies of
- Detail marks cards of all classes passed (10th onwards)
- Character certificate from institution last attended
- Category Certificate (if any)
- Gap year Affidavit (If any)
- Passport size photographs-7
Payment of Fees
Students have to pay the 1st installment of fees as they get the admission. The amount of fee can be paid in two installments:-
